General Information About This Program AFTER Loras: Professional chiropractic training is usually about 3 more years of school including 1 year of basic science classes, 1 year of preclinical classes and training and 1 year of clinical training. Many schools operate on a trimester system (1 trimester = 4 months) like Palmer whose program is 10 trimesters in length. They offer a B.S. degree in General Science to students who complete 90 hrs of prerequisite courses at another college and then use 30 hrs of classes from their chiropractic curriculum to satisfy the B.S. requirement. Professional training leads to a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
