1.  Summer Research Program in Microbiology at the University of Iowa

Nine week program - May 24 - July 30, 2010; must have completed at least two or three years of college; $4600 stipend, free dorm housing, some funding available for travel expenses; possibly 2 hrs of sem credit.

Areas include neuropsychology, neuroscience, microbiology, anatomy and cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, free radical and radiation biology

3.  Fellowships in Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation - Willowbrook Wildlife Foundation, Gen Elyn, IL

40 hrs per week for 12 weeks May - Sept 2010; $10/ hr

4.   Integrated Biological Sciences Summer Research Program (IBS-SRP) at the U. of WIsconsin- Madison.

Each student does full time research for 10 weeks; a $4300 stipend, full travel support, housing, health insurance and partial food allowance are provided plus access to univiersity libraries and facilities.

5.  Summer Laboratory Science Program at Mayo Clinic, Rochester,MN

Must have completed junor year in college with a major in a science field; explore career options in clinical laboratory science in the Dept of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.  12 weeks - June 2 - Aug. 27, full time, 40 hrs/week, $13/hour; for more info go to http://www.mayoclinic.org/intern-labmed-rst/

6.  Center for Protease Research at N. Dakota State University - Summer Undergraduate Research Program

May 24- July 30, 2010; 10 weeks; $4000 stipend; on campus housing provided; student will be paired with a faculty mentor and do independent research; information and application packet are available at www.ndsu.edu/cpr or contact the center at 701-231-6114.

7.  National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network summer research experience for undergraduates at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.

8. Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURP) Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center

9.  Iowa DNR Seasonal Natural Resources Aide Positions with the Multiple Species and Monitoring Project
